Olivine Sand

Olivine sand casting is a method used in the casting of metals because it is very popular in the past and is very cheap nowadays. At the beginning of all operations, the model part is made with technical drawings. The model part can be composed of one or two parts and this number depends on how complex the part is. The model is placed into the mold and the remaining voids are filled with a sand blend. Thus, the pattern is obtained in the shape of the mold. The core of the sand mixture is placed in the cavity to form the cavity of the part. The upper half of the mold is placed on the lower half to obtain the mold of the part. The liquid metal is poured into the mold and allowed to cool in this mold. After cooling and hardening, The EBT Sand mold is broken and the piece is obtained.
